Director of Retail, Grown Brilliance (Fine Jewelry)
We are seeking a dynamic, accountable and entrepreneurial Director of Retail to lead the brand account and retail teams for the Leap-powered fleet of Grown Brilliance.
This individual will work closely with Grown Brilliance brand and Leap internal partners to drive internal and external communications and strategies to deliver weekly, monthly and annual financial plans. In addition, this leader will own the holistic in-store experience including direct oversight and management of the in-store teams to consistently deliver an elevated in-store experience, personalized clienteling, marketing events and best-in-class shopper NPS.
The Director of Retail will have a thorough understanding of the retail fine jewelry and luxury environment, be able to create and maintain a positive work atmosphere, and possess an outstanding track record of success in delivering against financial targets while showcasing leadership and communication skills.
Salary Range: 160-170k
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver monthly financial targets by driving a world class in-store experience with high product sell-through levering skilled merchandising decisions, labor planning, clienteling and proactive strategies to drive local traffic and awareness.
- Manage, innovate, and drive store performance across the +15 Grown Brilliance powered by Leap store locations including the oversight of recruitment, training, retention, compliance and performance management of the field store teams and dedicated regional performance managers.
- Create, ideate and manage holistic strategies to drive the business utilizing business insights, sales data and field teams. Adjust business strategies when needed to maximize profitability.
- Work directly with the Grown Brilliance brand team and executives to identify opportunities and create product and marketing strategies to deliver financial targets
- Collaborate with internal Leap cross functional partners including merchandising, data, store development customer success and training to ensure delivery new stores open on time and in full, while delivering financial plans and high brand sentiment.
- Travel nationwide to stores with regular cadence to support store teams, new store openings, key tentpole moments and consistent delivery of in-store standards

Candidate Requirements
- 10+ years of retail management experience, ideally with a background including luxury retail/jewelry/customer service
- 3+ years of relevant operations, management and corporate experience
- 4+ years luxury retail work experience in a leadership role for 10+ stores or $30M
- Based in NYC willing to work out of Leap’s NYC office
- Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Willing to travel to retail locations to drive performance and manage the teams, as needed and as requested; estimated at 40%
Measures of Success:
- Drive sales goals through Key Performance Indicators. Net sales, Traffic, Conversion, Units Per Transaction (UPT) and Average Order Value (AOV), in store NPS and store profitability
- Employee Retention Rate: Ability to hire, develop, and promote team members
- Client Engagement: Net Promoter Score, Events/Activations
