About the role: 

Leap is looking for an experienced field marketer with a robust local network and retail experience to generate creative ways to leverage Leap’s scale and efficiencies to drive in-store traffic and sales. This person will develop and manage ongoing programming, events, and activations for multiple brands in local clusters (neighborhoods where Leap operates multiple stores).  This person must have a strong passion for building relationships and authentic connections between customers and the local community, empowering field teams, as well as experience planning and executing marketing tactics and events. They will report into the Director of Retail Marketing and will work closely with the Senior Manager of Retail Marketing, local field teams, and Area Managers. 

  • Senior Associate Field Marketing, West: Leap is looking for someone that is based in Los Angeles to oversee Leap’s LA stores (Including clusters on Melrose, Abbot Kinney, in Fashion Island, and Century City) as well as clusters within San Francisco, Scottsdale, Austin, and Dallas. This role is remote. 


  • Lead the local strategy and standardization for new store openings including localized media and influencer outreach, store enhancements, and partnering with internal teams for grand opening events/experiences
  • Execute quarterly local programs across clusters (i.e. block parties, GWP programs, etc)
  • Collaborate with with store teams and area managers to execute localized marketing strategies across clusters of Leap-powered stores that drive sales, support field marketing activities, and deepen community and customer relationships at the store level
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relations with malls, retail networks, local community businesses, vendors, like-minded brands and influencers and partner with them to amplify happenings throughout Leap clusters  
  • Maintain regional multi-store marketing calendars including but not limited to store and local events, key cultural moments, and activations
  • Collaborate and communicate regularly with HQ’s Retail Marketing, Retail Operations, Visual Merchandising, Content, and other cross functional teams to support business needs and achieve objectives
  • Build ongoing communications, information-sharing, and feedback processes with our store teams to continuously iterate and optimize the in-store marketing experience
  • Manage digital footprints (Google My Business, Apple Maps, Yelp) of each store in region
  • Integrate learnings and customer insights into marketing plans and activities
  • Measure, evaluate and report on field marketing initiatives and manage regional marketing budget
  • Join brand calls as needed to provide updates, feedback, and learnings 

Experience + Qualifications: 

  • 4+ years of experience in a field or retail marketing role that included planning retail events and programming
  • Experience in designing a local marketing plan which may include events, activations, partnerships, local media, influencers, sponsorships, etc  
  • A robust local network of vendors and deep understanding of the local market’s audience, trends, popular businesses, public figures, organizations, etc 
  • Creative, innovative and detail oriented – always looking to improve, add value, and try new tactics without fear of failure
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and project management skills to work confidently and seamlessly with cross functional team members and external partners 
  • Motivated self-starter who stays cool under pressure and thrives in a fast paced and rapidly growing start up environment with multiple priorities and deadlines 
  • Ability to effectively manage short and long term projects simultaneously with an empathetic, positive, and adaptable work ethic and attitude 
  • Ability to travel at least 1x a month 

Outcomes and measures of success: 

  • Leverage retail marketing programs and activations to increase in-store traffic and sales 
  • Establish ways of working with local store teams and area managers including extracting results, data and feedback to compile recaps 
  • Develop cluster-level cost efficiencies to drive and strengthen platform advantages 
  • Grow local network of vendors and partners for Leap to frequently partner with on marketing activations
