The Role
As the Retail Marketing Manager, Grown Brilliance, you will be the strategic lead responsible for driving foot traffic and brand awareness across our national fleet of retail stores. You will own the strategy and execution of impactful local partnerships, high-profile events, and integrated marketing initiatives that bridge digital discovery and in-store conversion.
A primary focus of this role is to act as a cross-functional connector, collaborating closely with brand and store teams to ensure every location has a localized marketing strategy that resonates with the community. You will create compelling reasons for customers to visit and engage with Grown Brilliance in person.
Location
This role is based in New York City, with the expectation to be in the office at least three days per week.
Core Responsibilities
- Store Traffic Generation: Design and execute localized marketing campaigns and national retail initiatives measured by their ability to increase high-intent foot traffic and revenue.
- Annual Strategy: Develop and maintain a retail marketing calendar that aligns with product launches, seasonal peaks, and regional store events in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Partnerships and Events: Identify, secure, and manage local and regional partnerships and events that align with the Grown Brilliance brand to drive customer acquisition, community engagement, and retention.
- Omnichannel Activation Strategy: Work with internal partners to create a comprehensive strategy supporting retail marketing activations through 1:1 clienteling, SMS, and email campaigns to drive engagement and store traffic.
- Field Collaboration: Work closely with store leaders and employees to understand local market nuances and provide marketing tools and toolkits needed to drive traffic.
- Brand Alignment: Collaborate with Grown Brilliance executives and creative teams to ensure all retail marketing assets and strategies remain consistent with overall brand identity while serving the needs of physical stores.
- Performance Tracking: Communicate the ROI of retail marketing efforts to leadership, providing clear data-driven narratives on how events and partnerships fuel physical growth.
Outcomes and Measures of Success
- Traffic Generation: Measurable increase in customer foot traffic driven directly by marketing events and partnership initiatives.
- Partnership Impact: Successful execution of a predefined number of high-value local partnerships and events per quarter with clear attribution to store sales.
- Operational Alignment: Seamless execution of the retail marketing calendar across all fleet locations, ensuring field teams are fully briefed and equipped for every campaign.
- Brand Satisfaction: Positive feedback and successful adoption of marketing initiatives by field leaders and internal brand partners.
Position Requirements
- Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in Retail Marketing, Field Marketing, or Brand Management, with a proven track record of driving physical traffic in a multi-unit retail environment.
- Cross-Functional Expertise: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, from corporate brand partners to field employees and store managers.
- Event and Partnership Management: Extensive experience planning and executing retail-focused events and managing external brand partnerships.
- Retail Ecosystem Knowledge: Deep understanding of the retail environment, including seasonal promotional calendars and operational challenges of store-level execution.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to track and report on marketing performance metrics, using data to refine strategies and demonstrate return on investment.
- Stationary Position: Ability to remain in a stationary position, sitting or standing, for prolonged periods of time.
- Equipment Operation: Constant operation of a computer.
Salary Range Transparency
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $105,000 to $125,000. All corporate roles are eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered will depend on a variety of job-related factors, including geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
