About the Brand

Hey! We’re SET. We’re here to simplify the way you get dressed. In an effort to be more effortless, we design athleisure that blurs the line between form and function. Whether you're getting active or actively chilling on the couch, our elevated essentials take you there. We’re a community first and a brand second. Seriously. Everything we create is with you in mind— from styles and colors, to what's to come and what's coming back. We believe open communication is key, because we’re at our best when you feel yours. We love to share what's going on BTS (behind the SET). Production planning, photoshoots, business day-to-day, what's up next, the good, the bad and the challenging. We're big on keeping it real and we'll always share the "why," because you deserve it.

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and service-driven Assistant Store Manager for our boutique powered by the Leap Platform, located in Los Angeles. This role is ideal for an emerging retail leader ready to take on increased business ownership and people leadership responsibility within a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

In partnership with the Store Manager, you will help lead the daily business, drive sales performance, and deliver an elevated and service-first in-store experience. You will serve as a hands-on leader on the sales floor, reinforcing brand standards, developing team members through real-time coaching and feedback, and fostering a collaborative culture rooted in accountability and professionalism.

You will also support talent recruitment, onboarding, and team development while helping maintain accountability to business goals and service expectations.

As a brand ambassador and local market contributor, you will support client outreach, community engagement efforts, and in-store events that strengthen customer relationships and drive brand awareness.

Operational excellence is central to success in this role. You will oversee key aspects of daily store operations including visual merchandising, inventory management, shipment processing, scheduling, opening/closing procedures, and overall organization. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and confident leading the business in the Store Manager’s absence.

This role may extend beyond your primary location, occasionally supporting other Leap-powered stores within the market. Responsibilities may include assisting with new store openings, onboarding team members, providing sales floor coverage, or supporting community activations.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales through client engagement, styling, outreach, and relationship-building.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify trends, support business strategies, and contribute to overall store performance.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort navigating fast-paced and evolving retail environments while maintaining focus and accountability.

  • Strong operational skills across scheduling, inventory management, visual standards, shipment processing, and policy compliance.

  • Proficiency with digital tools such as Shopify, Endear, Slack, and Google Workspace to support business operations and communication.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional travel as needed.
  • Ability to actively lead on the sales floor, including standing, walking, using ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
